Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park belongs in the elite of Kenya’s national parks and it’s easy to see why Amboseli Safari Tours are fascinating. In fact, its signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephants. Moreover, it has an impressive backdrop of Africa’s best views namely, the Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m). Indeed, the sumptuous snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli national park might just take your breath away for a moment.
Indeed, its desert savannah landscapes and vast grassy expanses, dotted with iconic acacia trees offers magnificent panoramas filled with elephants, lions and rhinoceros. In fact, you can discover this ecosystem aboard a 4 × 4 or a walking safari.
Meanwhile, the Amboseli national park captivates with its free-roaming giant elephants along with lions, buffaloes and leopards. Accordingly, the Observation hill in Amboseli safari infuses a thrilling spirit of holiday in visitors with its grand view of wildlife and the landscapes.
While Mt Kilimanjaro broods over the park, you’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas. However, this is possible when the weather clears usually at dawn or dusk. Apart from guaranteed elephant sightings, you will spot plenty of birdlife. Indeed, the park is also home to over 370 bird species. Accordingly, the park is a playground for ornithologists and photographers.
Amboseli Safari Tours offer great wildlife viewing, and four of the Big iFve are present. Rhinos are absent, but big herds of elephants reliably move to and from the marshy swamps in the center of the park. Buffalo, wildebeest, Burchell’s zebra and gazelle are all very common. Lions are the easiest to spot of the big cats, but sightings are hit-and-miss.
The park encloses an interesting variety of habitats including dusty plains and marshy swamps, but it is the backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro towering above the Amboseli plains that attracts most visitors to this scenic park.
