In Amboseli you are privileged to have the best views of the snow capped peaks of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli national Park has sandy areas that change in appearance according to the seasons when it is very dry, it is not unusual to confuse these areas with huge bodies of water.

Consequently, when visiting the swampy areas in the Amboseli ornithology lovers can see nearly 400 bird species. Also, this small 392-square-kilometer park has a high concentration of animals.  Another highlight in this trip is the inclusion of the Masai Mara in the itinerary. Starting from its grassy savannah, to the crocodile infested rivers and the wildebeest migration.

Day 1- Nairobi-Samburu

Depart Nairobi in the morning at 8:00AM-and proceed north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve which is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the Miracle Lioness that adapted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded. Birds of the arid northern bush country are augmented by several riverine forest species. Lesser Kestrel and the Taita Falcon are species of global conservation concern and they both utilize the reserve. You’ll arrive at the Lodge just in time for lunch then proceed to an afternoon safari safari game drive. Day 2: Samburu Full Day

You’ll spend a full day in Samburu. After breakfast, you’ll go for a morning safari game drive where you’ll get a chance to spot Beisa Oryx, Gravy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. After the safari safari game drive return to the lodge for lunch, enjoy the lodge’s facilities the proceed to another safari safari game drive with an optional visit to a local Samburu village. Day 3: Samburu- Nakuru National Park

After Breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru national park, which is on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges.  Famous for its millions of seasonal pink flamingos and other aquatic birds. Arrive for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge .After Lunch  proceed to an afternoon  game drive around the lake, where rhinos, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, and waterbucks can easily and closely be spotted. Day 4:Nakuru National Park -Masai Mara

After breakfast depart for Masai Mara, one of East Africa’s most famous reserves, The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Arrive in time for lunch at Julias River Camp. Afternoon game viewing, where lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game abound, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. Day 5: Masai Mara Full Day

Full day dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. You can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. Option of a visit to a Masai village or a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06.00 am and ends with a Champagne breakfast on the plains. Day 6: Masai Mara Full Day

Full day dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. Day 7: Masai Mara -Lake Naivasha

Day 8: Lake Naivasha-Amboseli

Day 9: Amboseli National Park Full Day

Our early morning game drive is most rewarding - it offers the opportunity to find predators either hunting or feeding on their prey. Picnic breakfast at the observation hill offering spectacular 360 degrees views throughout the park with its arid areas, marshes and lakes, and on a clear day Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 10 : Amboseli -Nairobi

Early morning safari safari game drive, in the park, right on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest in Africa. Early morning there’s a chance of spotting prey hunting for food .After which drive to the Lodge for breakfast, After breakfast you will leave straight to the airport to catch your flight to home or drop off at your Nairobi Hotel
